Every donation to The New York Literacy Project will help us deliver books to kids who need them. We are dedicated to ensuring that all children are able to read at a proficient level, shrinking the achievement gap, and keeping students from falling any further behind. The easiest way to help us achieve these goals is by donating.

Donate Books

Donating books is a great way to support charities, especially those that promote literacy and education. Please contact us via email if you would like to donate gently used or new books and we will arrange a drop-off location or pick- up depending where you live.

Donate Money

Help us to provide new books by starting home libraries for children in need on Long Island and New York City. We will purchase books from kid’s wishlists to promote and engender their love for reading.Thanks to your donation, we are able to make progress in removing access to books as an obstacle to achieving literacy.

Donate Time

Please contact us if you would like to volunteer your time to sort/collect books through book drives, shop for books on our book wishlist or help distribute the books to local underserved communities in NY and Long Island.
